Theatre in Education - Reflection

Tuesday 16th June 2020 Theatre in Education - Reflection 1. Global Context - Describe how your planning and final ideas reflect the global context and statement of inquiry: My final issue links with the statement of inquiry, - Art, through its expression and structure, can communicate areas for social change in the world - because depression is a serious social issue that affects many people of many different ages. My planning also links to the global context because it includes different ways of expression. Do you have a better understanding of the global context? Yes, I have a better understanding of the global context. I now understand that drama can aid in development of society to make it more fair. For example, Bertolt Brecht used to put on plays about politics, which helped shape peoples' views on it. 2. Knowing and Understanding (A) What research did you do in your own time? I completed a lot of research about Bertolt Brecht and his alienation technique...
Outtakes of my video: What is my video? My video is going to be a collection of the effects of depression. Loss of appetite and weight change is the one that I have focused on these outtakes. In the video, I am being offered a bar of chocolate, but I say no. In my final video, I will most likely narrate over the video to voice what is going through my head and further explain what is going on.

I have done many school projects about mental illnesses such as depression, but I have never done one in such an expressive form. I have also done the projects as PowerPoints or posters and would like to do a project about depression in a more visual manner. How does your final issue link with the global context or statement of inquiry? My final issue links with the statement of inquiry, - Art, through its expression and structure, can communicate areas for social change in the world - because depression is a serious social issue that affects many people of many different ages. Who is your target audience? My target audience is teenagers and people in my school. It is very easy for teenagers to develop mental illnesses such as depression because of school, their pos...

Toilet paper roll art challenge

Sunday 12th April 2020 For my art challenge, I decided to paint the logo of one of my favourite superheroes, Black Widow. I chose her because I love her back story, her strength, and her abilities. First, I sketched out her logo onto the roll. Then, I outlined it with black pen. I filled in the logo with red paint and waited for it to dry. Once dry, I took masking tape and lined the edge of the logo with the tape. I then took the black paint and painted around and over the tape as to make sure not to leave any space blank. Once I had finished the black paint and it was dry, I took the tape of and cleaned off the edges with any red paint that had been covered by the black. WWW: I used my creativity skills to try a new form of art which I had never tried before. I learnt how to use tape to make my piece of art look cleaner and more accurate EBI: I could have made the logo a little straighter, as it is slightly tilted. Reflection: I found thi...
